Competency-Based Interview
A competency-based interview is a method used during job application processes to evaluate a candidate’s past experiences and skills in more detail. In these interviews, candidates are asked to provide examples of specific competencies or behaviours related to the job. Instead of asking hypothetical questions, the interviewer focuses on real examples from the candidate's previous roles to evaluate whether they possess the key competencies or skills required for the position.
Competency-based interviews aim to provide a clearer, more objective understanding of how a candidate’s past behaviour is likely to predict their future performance in similar situations. They are often used to assess competencies like problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, communication, and time management.
We would be delighted to support you throughout your assessment process and job interview, a pivotal moment that could shape the pathway of your career.
